At Freaura, care extends beyond what you wear to how your information is handled.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our website at freaura.uk and to any other way you deal with us.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. Any question about your information should go to contact@freaura.uk and we will answer it.

- The name and address of a recipient, if you send an order as a gift

- Your order history and any returns or exchanges
- Confirmation that your payment succeeded, and the last four digits and card type
We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider.

- The site or advert that brought you to us
This comes from cookies and similar technologies. Everything beyond what is strictly necessary to run the site is only collected once you have given consent through our cookie banner.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we need a lawful basis for everything we do with your information. Here is ours, purpose by purpose.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interest against your rights and concluded that our use is proportionate and would not surprise you. You can ask us to explain that assessment, and you can object at any time.
Marketing
We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link at the bottom, or by emailing contact@freaura.uk. We will act on it straight away.
If you have bought from us, we may email you about similar pieces under the soft opt-in permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link too.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop order confirmations, dispatch notices or replies to your questions, which we have to send.
Cookies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them to keep your basket working, to remember you are signed in, and, with your permission, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising.
Only strictly necessary cookies are set when you arrive. Nothing else is placed until you accept it through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Turning off cookies through your browser is also possible, but please note that on its own that is not how you give or withdraw consent with us. Use the banner or the footer link.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we never will. We share it only with the organisations we need to in order to run the business, and only with what they need.

Everyone on this list is bound by a written contract requiring them to protect your information and to use it only as we instruct.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. If the business is ever sold or restructured, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy.
Sending information outside the UK
Some of the organisations above are based outside the United Kingdom, or use servers that are. Where your information leaves the UK, we make sure it stays protected by relying on one of the following:
- An adequacy decision by the UK government covering the destination country
- The UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses
- The UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under it

Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it. Payment card details never reach our systems. We keep our software updated and review our security arrangements.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If there is ever a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will tell the ICO within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Be told what we do with your information, which is what this policy is for
- Access a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Erase your information, where we no longer have a good reason to keep it
- Restrict what we do with it while a question about it is resolved
- Object to processing we base on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time, which we will always honour
- Portability, meaning a copy of the information you gave us in a machine readable format, or sent directly to someone else
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on
To use any of these, email contact@freaura.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we do not give your information to someone else.
Complaining to the ICO
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and give us the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time.

Children
Our website and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email contact@freaura.uk and we will delete it.
Automated decisions
We do not make any decision about you by automated means alone, and we do not carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Links to other sites
Our site links to places we do not control, including our social media pages. This policy does not cover them. Please read theirs.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly.
