Frequently Asked
If your question is not answered here, write to us and we will reply within 2 working days.
How do I find my size?
Our pieces are cut generously, with room to move and sleep in. Full measurements for every size are in our size guide.
If you are between sizes, we suggest taking the smaller for a closer fit through the shoulder, or the larger if you prefer more room. Neither is wrong.
What sizes do you make?
S, M, L and XL, corresponding to UK 8-10, 12-14, 16-18, 20-22. Exact measurements are in the size guide.
How tall is the model, and what size is she wearing?
This is shown on each product page.
What if I order the wrong size?
You can write to us at contact@freaura.uk requesting to exchange it for a different size. We will reserve your size if available. Simply return the product within 28 days of receipt, provided pieces are unworn, unwashed and tags are intact, and place a new order for a different size. See our full returns policy for the process.
What is organic cotton?
Organic cotton is grown from non-genetically-modified seed, without synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers. Soil is kept healthy through crop rotation and composting rather than chemical inputs.
It is a farming method rather than a property of the fibre. What it means for you is that you know what has not been used on the crop, and what has not been used in finishing the cloth. We have written more about it in the Journal.
Is your cotton certified?
Yes. Our cotton is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard, the most rigorous standard in textiles. GOTS covers the whole chain rather than only the farm: the dyes and finishes used, the treatment of wastewater, and a set of social criteria covering working conditions.
Certified by GOTS, licence number 26-1011087.
What is the fabric composition?
100% organic cotton. Details are on each product page.
Where are your pieces made?
India.
Will the fabric soften over time?
Yes. Good cotton is soft because of its fibre structure rather than because of a coating, so it improves with washing rather than wearing thin. Avoiding fabric softener is the single most important thing you can do to let that happen.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is complimentary on every UK order.
How long will my order take?
Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same working day. Delivery usually takes 2 to 4 working days from dispatch.
Full detail is in our shipping policy.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Join our list and we will let you know when that changes.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You will receive a dispatch email with tracking as soon as your parcel leaves us.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If it has not yet been dispatched, email contact@freaura.uk straight away and we will do what we can.
Once dispatched, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving it, and our returns window runs for 28 days. Both are set out in our returns policy.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, GPay, Apple Pay. Your card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach our systems.
What happens if something is out of stock?
Each print is made in one run and not repeated. When a size is gone, it is gone. It is a slower way to work, and it means the piece you own stays uncommon.
What is your returns policy?
You have 28 days from delivery to return anything you have changed your mind about, provided it is unworn and unwashed. This sits alongside your legal right to cancel within 14 days, not instead of it.
The full process is in our returns policy.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes. Email contact@freaura.uk and we will reserve the size you need.
Who pays return postage?
You do for a change of mind. We do for exchanges, and for anything faulty, damaged or sent in error.
How long do refunds take?
We aim to process refunds within 5 working days of your return reaching us, and in every case within 14 days. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
What if my item is faulty?
Tell us as soon as you notice, and we will put it right. There is no deadline for reporting a fault. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject a faulty item for a full refund, and after that you are entitled to a repair or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We cover the postage either way.
Can I return something I was given as a gift?
Yes. We can arrange an exchange or issue a gift card to the value of the piece. Email us with the order number from the packing slip, or the name of the person who bought it.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes, for any amount. Gift cards are delivered by email and valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
How does an order arrive?
Every order arrives wrapped in butter paper and delivered in a recyclable branded courier bag.
Can I include a message?
Yes, add the option at checkout.
Can I send an order directly to someone else?
Yes. Enter their address as the delivery address at checkout. We never include a price on the packing slip.
How should I wash them?
At 30 degrees, on a gentle cycle, turned inside out with the buttons done up.
Can I use fabric softener?
Please do not. Softener coats the fibres in a thin film that reduces absorbency, builds up with every wash, and traps odour. Good cotton softens on its own. Softener works against it.
Can I tumble dry them?
Line drying is much better and costs nothing. If you must tumble, use the lowest heat and take them out slightly damp. Heat is what shrinks cotton and breaks the fibres down.
How should I iron them?
Slightly damp, on a medium setting, with printed pieces turned inside out. Or hang them in the bathroom while you shower and let the steam do it.
There is more in our care guide.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, the packaging is made from recycled paper.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account simply saves your details and lets you see past orders.
How do I contact you?
Email contact@freaura.uk and we will reply within 2 working days. You can also use our contact form.
